11/3 Welcome Reception

Join us for a whole hog and oyster roast at the Maritime Center! Enjoy unparalleled views of the Charleston waterfront at this barbecue and oyster roast at the Maritime Center. Jimmy Hagood, owner of Food for the Southern Soul will be barbecuing a whole hog from Niman Ranch as well as introducing guests to a time-honored low country tradition — the oyster roast. Lauren Mitterer from Wildflour Bakery will provide sweets. American Harvest will be serving signature cocktails alongside sustainably grown wines from Hess Winery and craft beer from Charleston’s own Palmetto Brewery. Click here to buy a ticket for the meal.

11/4: Reception at the South Carolina Aquarium

11/5: Lunch and Sustainability Awards at Lowndes Grove

lowndes-grove1Bluegrass ensemble The Bluestone Ramblers will set the scene for the closing lunch, to be held on the lawn of Lowndes Grove Plantation, overlooking the Ashley River.

Chef Nico Romo from Fish Restaurant will be serving seafood appetizers. Chef John Zucker of Cru Cafe will serve up a smoked lamb from our friends at American Lamb Board. James Beard award-winning Chef Robert Stehling of Hominy Grill will be preparing a range of low country side dishes including pinebark stew, tomato pudding, cowboy beans, red rice, greens and cornbread.
