Answer: A very interesting conversation about the upcoming Farm Bill.
Last Sunday, Chefs Collaborative, Let’s Talk About Food and the Royal Sonesta hotel invited Boston-area chefs to an intimate luncheon with Professor Marion Nestle with the goal of understanding more about the 2012 Farm Bill, now slated for congressional review in 2013. Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (Dem – ME) also attended the event and took some time during the meeting to present an overview of her bill, the Local Foods, Farms, and Jobs Act, which makes several reforms to the Farm Bill that aim to increase support for local food and infrastructure.
