Chef Jonathan Waxman (Brezza Cucina) kicked off his “Waxman & Friends” collaborative Sunday dinner series with Chefs Collaborative Local Leader chef Steven Satterfield (Miller Union) on Sunday, March 18th. The event began with passed hors d’oeuvres at 6pm at Brezza Cucina. The chefs then presented a four-course, family-style meal, including wine pairings and dessert.
Proceeds from this event benefitted Chefs Collaborative.
About Jonathan Waxman
Working as a successful chef, restaurateur and author, Jonathan Waxman has graced such prestigious kitchens as Chez Panisse in Berkeley and Michael’s in Los Angeles. Waxman went on to open his own restaurant in New York City — Jams, described by the NY Times as ‘a culinary comet’, as well as the famed Washington Park. Today, Jonathan is chef and owner of Barbuto in Manhattan’s West Village and Jams in 1 Hotel Central Park as well as owning other renowned restaurants across the country. Jonathan Waxman is the 2016 James Beard Award winner for “Best Chef, New York City.” He was a judge on Bravo’s Recipe for Deception and has appeared on two seasons of Top Chef Masters where he earned the nickname ‘Obi Wan Kenobi.’ He is the author of cookbooks, A Great American Cook and Italian, My Way. Jonathan currently lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children.
