As we near the 4th of July, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate our country than eating wild-caught American salmon! There are more than 70 restaurants taking part in the 2013 Bristol Bay salmon dinner series, and we invite you to dine with them during one or more of their fantastic events.

This Sunday, join JJ Gonson, Chef/Owner of Cuisine en Locale, and Josh Lewin, Executive Chef of Beacon Hill Bistro for dinner showcasing Alaska’s Bristol Bay sockeye salmon. Buy tickets here. You’ll enjoy fresh, wild-caught salmon and learn about the families who have been fishing Bristol Bay for generations. The menu even features ingredients like cranberries from the fishing town of Egegik.

The Menu:

  • smoked and steamed salmon rilettes. egegik alaska cranberries, salmon skin
  • maple-cured gravlax, sourdough crumb, horseradish cream, pickles
  • salmon; aioli roasted, brown butter tartare and peas; pureed, crushed, glazed
  • sweet pea and whey sorbet, shaved chocolate
  • oeuf a la neige with strawberry “salmon” roe
Bristol Bay, Alaska might be really far away (4,700+ miles), but with these chefs’ help, your tastebuds can still make the trek. We hope to see you there!
